The Kagemusha Taiko “knot” was designed by Jonathan Kirby, with the assistance of graphic artists Joe Pieczenko and Rob Dixie and later developed by MULARAM Productions.
The Kagemusha Taiko logo is a Celtic knot version of the Japanese mitsu-tomoe commonly associated with taiko. Representing earth, sky and people, its circularity symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things so central to taiko. Kagemusha Taiko’s logo reflects our approach of creating new taiko based on a synthesis of native culture and fundamental taiko principles.
