School Workshops

Taiko is highly accessible with a focus on doing simple things well. The physical nature of taiko makes it utterly absorbing and exciting, while the discipline provides a structured framework for creativity. Above all, it’s great fun and we believe that once young people are having a good time, they’ll have a better experience of learning.

Kagemusha Taiko can deliver workshops at your school or at the Kagemusha Taiko Studio in the heart of Devon on the arts and education campus of Seale Hayne.
(Accommodation + food available from Hannah’s at Seale Hayne)

“We did a Taiko session with 120 teenagers at the end of term and the concentration, timing and performance skills of the young people were second to none, despite only having an hour’s practice. The performance at the end was formidable and truly unforgettable.”

Elaine Atkinson, Manager of Instrumental and Music Teaching, Nottinghamshire Arts Support Service
