      Kagemusha Taiko join the community of Kingsteignton to celebrate their annual Ram Roasting Fair – an event that has been going since the Middle Ages. It promises to be a great day for all!

    1. Drum for Fun! From 03rd June
      9:45 am – 11:00 am

      Try something new and start the week with a bang! Enjoy learning rhythms and playing together in a relaxed and friendly environment.
      This class is great for those who might have seen taiko and want to try it out without committing to a course just yet, or in the same manner as going to a weekly yoga class. No experience of taiko or any other musical instrument is necessary, and there’s no need to book, just drop in and join in!

      11:30 am – 1:00 pm

      This is a day-time taiko course for people who have attended previous classes with Jan.
      A balanced mix of practice learning a taiko piece, it’s a great way to experience playing as part of a taiko group without the pressure of performance.

      5 week course: 03rd June – 01st July £35

      5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

      A Drop-in taiko session for all ages and abilities! Perfect for those who want a taste of our other courses and classes on offer, this short, fun session will be suitable for beginners every week, but as always will include things for those with a little more experience to work on.
      NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
      Suitable for children 7 and above (all under 10s to be accompanied by an adult).
      Mondays, 5.30 – 6.30, £6.50 per session (£8.50 for child and adult).
      FIRST SESSION IS FREE!

      Suitable for those who have previously taken a workshop or taiko course with Kagemusha Taiko. Improve your taiko fundamentals and skills whilst working towards playing a taiko piece by the end of the course.

      5 week course Monday 3rd June – Monday 01st July inc, £41.25

      Junior taiko classes will be starting on Tuesday 4th June. If you are aged 10+, or know someone that is, who would like to join a junior taiko class then please come along! Please note this is a 5 week course.

      This class is for beginners so if you’ve done a little bit of taiko before or it’s completely new then this class is perfect for you!

      There are two times for the classes:

      5.00 – 6.00pm

      6.00 – 7.00pm

      When booking onto a class please specify which time you’d like to attend. It is £7 a session; £35 overall.

      There’s parking near to the Taiko Centre (please see the How to Find us link above) and we have a reception area with a nice comfy sofa so you are more than welcome to stay whilst your child is in the class - what’s more we have tea and coffee making facilities so you can really make yourself at home! Taiko is a physical activity that is done in bare feet so please ensure your child is wearing loose comfortable clothing and has a drink of water.

      Our taiko instructors are qualified and CRB checked.

Every Tuesday evening between 7.30 – 9.30 Tano Taiko rehearse at the Taiko Centre. Please note these rehearsals are not ‘drop in’ sessions and are for group members only.

    1. A Taste of Taiko Workshop June 8th

      This workshop is perfect for beginners who can’t wait to have a go at this powerful, energising and fun art form.
      No experience in any musical instrument is needed, just a spirit of adventure and plenty of energy! The emphasis is on getting a taste of what it’s like to play as part of a taiko ensemble, not on perfecting anything, so there’s no need to worry, we’re here to have fun and try something new. Contact us to find out more and to book a place!
      Taiko is a physical activity so you should expect to get warm whilst playing and we advise loose, comfortable clothing and bringing a drink of water with you.
